2. How We Use Cookies
Sukar uses essential cookies to run the platform (signing in, keeping your session) and, on our own website, advertising measurement cookies from Google Ads so we can tell which ads lead to sign-ups. We do not sell cookie data, and we do not use cookies on the chat widget installed on our customers' websites.

The authentication cookies are httpOnly (not accessible via JavaScript) and secure (only sent over HTTPS), providing protection against cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
4. Chat Widget Cookies
The Sukar chat widget embedded on your customers' websites uses local storage (not cookies) to maintain the visitor's session and conversation state. This allows visitors to continue their conversation if they navigate between pages.
5. Third-Party Cookies
We use Google Ads conversion measurement on sukar.io and app.sukar.io. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, these advertising cookies are only set after you accept them in our cookie banner; if you decline, Google receives only cookieless, aggregated signals (Google Consent Mode). When you sign up, a hashed (one-way encrypted) copy of your email may be shared with Google to measure ad conversions (enhanced conversions). If you sign in with Google OAuth, Google may also set its own cookies during authentication. All of this is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
6. Managing Cookies
You can change your advertising cookie choice at any time by deleting the sk_consent cookie (the banner will ask again), or through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies will prevent you from signing in to Sukar. Most browsers allow you to:
- View what cookies are stored
- Delete individual or all cookies
- Block cookies from specific or all websites
- Set preferences for first-party vs third-party cookies
